Guest curator of FIAC Projects 2019
Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel is the curator of the next edition of the Riga Biennial. She was curator at the Palais de Tokyo from 2012 to 2019, where she recently curated the carte blanche to Tomás Saraceno, ON AIR.
Among other projects, she has also curated the Carte Blanche to Tino Sehgal (2016), FOXP2 de Marguerite Humeau (2016), the collective exhibition Le bord des mondes (2015) as well as the exhibitions Bastards by Ed Atkins (2014), Mo’Swallow by David Douard (2014), Evian Disease by Helen Marten (2013) and Remembering Carthage by Jon Rafman (2012).
She regularly collaborates with international institutions, with the projects 72 Hours of Truce: Exploring Immediate Signs (2013) and Bright Intervals (2014) at the MoMA PS1 (New York), the exhibition FOXP2 by Marguerite Humeau at Nottingham Contemporary (2016), Landscape (2014) by Fouad Bouchoucha with the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), or Des présents inachevés, resonating with the Biennale de Lyon (with Oliver Beer, Julian Charriere, Jeremy Shaw and Benoit Pype, 2013). In 2017, she co-curated the exhibition Voyage d’Hiver at the Château de Versailles.
Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel regularly publishes in French and international magazines and catalogues, she intervenes in many seminaries and juries in France and abroad. She is a member of the FIAC jury of the Lafayette Sector since 2018.
