Laurie Anderson, experimental artist and musician created an original video for the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève as a tribute to her friend John Giorno, who passed away last year. The poet left a unique and rich body of work touching upon every artistic and creative form. On the occasion of the John Giorno Poetry Day, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève will celebrate the American poet on the 5th floor, the digital extension of the Centre, with “7 pieces for John Giorno”, a musical tribute curated by Guillaume Sorge (curator of the radio program on the 5th floor) with contributions by Laurie Anderson, Felicia Atkinson, Angel Bat Dawid, Bendik Giske, Kassel Jaeger, Thurston Moore and Lucy Railton.
